Digital Product Design

Brand & Logo Design
MY ROLE
For this project, I worked as the lead designer of a product team of 7 people
( 1 CTO, 3 Full-stack Developers, 2 Blockchain Developers, and myself -- Product Designer ).
I spent most parts of my day in communication with Developers, the CTO, and the CEO.
Primarily, our team used Discord for communication through chat, Linear app for creating development tickets, Github for code reviews, and Hotjar for analyzing user behavior.
DESIGN SYSTEM
As a part of the product team at Kleoverse, I worked with the developers and CEO to create a style guide that included a library of commonly used components, design guidelines, and UX best practices.
This style guide served as a comprehensive reference for the development team to follow and included guidance on the implementation of design elements, such as typography and screen configurations.
The objective was to ensure consistency in design and improve the user experience while simplifying development practices.
Tools used:
- Figma
- Storybook
BRAND & LOGO
One of my first tasks at Kleoverse was to modify the branding and logo. When I joined, a draft logo had already been created by the founders, using a green color (#26B55B) as its base.
However, after conducting a thorough study of color psychology and considering the original green color, I suggested using a different shade (#9DF9D6) that better suited our brand identity.
For the logo, we wanted to convey a strong and bold presence, which led me to choose "Montserrat-Black" as the font. As for the body text, I opted for a sans-serif font that provided a relaxed and comfortable reading experience. After exploring different options, I selected the font "Outfit" in various styles, which met our requirements and complemented our brand identity.
Tools used:
- Figma
- Adobe Illustrator
CHALLENGES
As a platform designed for web3 developers, various aspects were considered that are not typically considered in web2 apps. Considerations such as wallet connection, types of wallets, sign-in messages on the blockchain, ethereum blockchain connectivity messages, and more.
One of the significant features of the app is the ability to mint skills as NFTs, which required a new design perspective to ensure the best user experience while making it easier for even newcomers to the crypto world to understand.
PROCESS
The process for coming up with the project consisted of:
- Defining the problem, identifying the target users and their needs, and the context in which the product would be used.
- Conducting user research, I conducted calls with people on the waiting list for the platform to understand their needs and pain points. I analyzed the data for insights.
- Creating user personas: Based on the research insights, I created user personas that represent the target users.
- Developing user scenarios and created sitemaps: Using the personas, I created user scenarios that outline the different ways in which users will interact with the product.
- Creating wireframes, prototypes to further test them with users and see their first reactions and how they use the product.
Iterating and refining, gathering feedback and continuously updating the product to meet the user needs.
END RESULT
The outcome is a product that meets both user needs and business KPIs.
Kleoverse now enables users to search for web3 jobs, mint their skills on-chain, collaborate on bounties, find other users, and compare their skills using a leaderboard.
This project spanned over a year and involved the development of numerous screens, resulting in a comprehensive solution.
These screens offer just a preview of how the app looks like. I invite you to visit kleoverse.com to try out the app for yourself. And if you have an Ethereum wallet, please consider signing up!
